Spring is (almost) here and it’s (almost) time to put away the coats and get out the sandals. Check out the 7 events you can’t miss this season.
1. Macy’s Spring Flower Show transforms Herald Square from a tourist hangout to a gorgeous garden. Wander around the garden yourself or take the free 20-minute guided tour. It runs from April 5th to April 19th.
2. Tribeca Film Festival brings hundreds of unique, independent films to NYC. It’s one of the biggest and best film festivals in the world and luckily tickets usually only cost between $8-$15. It runs from April 21st to May 2nd.
3. Baseball Opening Day’s are exciting events that get you out of Manhattan and into the game. Buy your tickets now for the Yankees (April 13th) or the Mets (April 5th).
4 Street Fairs are back in action on April 17th. They move around weekly, but always seem to offer the same exact vendors. There’s no better place to go if you’re looking for great street food, new sunglasses, or an iPod case.
5. Spa Week offers postgrads on a budget the chance to get affordable beauty treatments done at quality spas. Tons of spas in the city participate in the event and it’s a great opportunity to get a massage or facial. It runs from April 12 to April 18th.
6. Affordable Art Fair features great pieces at postgrad-budget-friendly prices. You can finally take down that College poster that’s been hanging on your wall and replace it with something classy. It goes from May 6th to May 9th.
7. Taste of Tribeca is a wonderful opportunity for the food lovers to spend the day sampling great restaurants for only $38. Best of all, you don’t have to feel guilty about your expensive meal since the money goes to help public schools. Buy tickets now for May 16th.
