If you’re living and working in New York City, you’re legally obligated to become a New York resident. While a lot of people get away with not becoming a NYC resident, it’s a good idea if you’re planning to stay here for awhile. Luckily, registering as a NYC resident isn’t complicated and it only takes 3 easy steps to officially become a NYC resident.
1. File NYC tax returns.
3.Trade in your license for a NYC license.
