Neighborhood Watch: Theatre District: Plan your Valentine’s Day

Impress your boyfriend or girlfriend by taking them out in the Theatre District this Valentine's Day. It would be romantic to take your significant other to a show but no matter what you do, you'll be hungry. You must check out Bann.

Bann is a hip Korean barbeque restaurant hidden at 350 W. 50th street, between 8th and 9th Ave. They have a specialty Valentine's Day menu for $65 a person. The menu is available for download on their website posted above. $65 may seem expensive for Korean barbeque but let me tell you from experience, their food is exquisite.

If a Valentine's Day reservation does not work out, stop by anytime. Their signature is authentic style barbeque. In the tables there are metal grills where you cook your meats and veggies. They are served with the traditional Korean condiments. These include lettuce to wrap your meat, kim chi (spicy pickled cabbage) and other delicious sauces and crunchy bits.

You can choose to have cold or hot prepared dishes. Take my advice and order the ostrich or duck and grill it yourself. It's fun, entertaining and very different from your typical dinner date.
