Battery Park City is at the southern most tip of Manhattan with a view of the Statue of Liberty. A planned community, Battery Park City is governed by the Battery Park City Authority who oversee the building of both residential and commercial life in the area. This area is attractive for its open park-space, popular for running, biking or sightseeing onto the Hudson; it's convenient shopping center; several restaurants; and proximity to the Financial District. Battery Park City residential buildings consists of a few upscale high-rises as well as several low-rise buildings, most with great views of both the Hudson and the towering skyscrapers of FiDi.
